I'm David Peng, a licensed builder in China with 14+ years in engineering and construction. Since 2012 I've run my own subcontracting companies — outdoor pipe networks, roads, site works.
That's not a desk job: I've spent years on job sites, running machinery, checking work, chasing quality. In 2025 I lived in Cambodia for four months. In 2026 I traveled Indonesia and Malaysia, visiting projects and talking to local contractors. I know what buyers in Southeast Asia are up against.
Why I Started This
Here's what I kept seeing: a factory in Henan sells a machine for $10,000. The buyer in Jakarta pays $18,000. In between, four layers of middlemen take $8,000 — and the buyer still gets no warranty, no inspection, and no one to call when the machine arrives broken.
I started David Peng Sourcing to be the layer that doesn't exist: an agent who works for the buyer, not the factory. I live in Zhengzhou, Henan — inside China's agricultural and construction machinery factory belt. The factories are walking distance away. I visit them myself, check the machines myself, and report back with photo and video evidence.
How I Work — and How I Don’t
Priced in writing
My service is agreed before we start: $50–100 for a live factory visit, $100–200 for a 12-point inspection report, or 2–5% commission for full sourcing.
No kickbacks. Ever.
I do not take kickbacks from factories. My income comes from you, so my loyalty is to you.
You approve before you pay
Nothing moves without your sign-off. You watch the machine live or on video before any payment.
